Yoga: a key to mental health

Yoga has always been a practice of mental cultivation. The yoga sutras, original yoga text, state "yoga leads to the easing of the agitated mind". Yoga is a key to managing stress relief. It also improves mood, decreases stress, and enhances quality of life. Yoga creates the space to self-acceptance, trust, compassion. Yoga also encourages mindfulness in daily life. Yoga reduces blood pressure, increases physical strength and mobility, reduces inflammation markers, and supports longevity. Through continuous practice yoga helps to improve mental wellbeing, and other parts of being, and then one day you may say "why wouldn't we practice yoga".
