Figures show type 2 Diabetes prescriptions now cost NHS £1bn, in a recent BBC News report
I was quite alarmed to read recently that almost one in 20 prescriptions written by GPs are now for type 2 diabetes treatment. And the number diagnosed has doubled in the last 20 years!
