Yin yoga
Yin yoga is a slow, steady practice where the asanas are held for some time (1-3-5 minutes) which allows the muscles to relax and stretch creating strength, length and flexibility to improve:

calming to the mind and body

encourages deep relaxation
In a Yin practice only 4-6 asanas are practiced and they mainly work around the hips, pelvis, inner thighs and the whole of the spine.
