Monday - Hatha Yoga

About the class:

Hatha Yoga a slow paced practice, using the breath to go into the asana and when holding to the asana which allows the muscles to relax, stretch to bring length and flexibility and to build strength.

The word “hatha” is translated as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha). This suggests to the opposites in our lives such as:

  • yin and yang

  • light and darkness

  • hard and soft

  • vigorous and gentle

Hatha yoga is about finding balance, working with the physical body, releasing tensions and traumas stored in the body. Through practice yoga helps bring peace to the mind and body.

Hatha yoga is a great place to start if you are new to yoga or if you want to deepen your practice.

Benefits of a regular Hatha yoga practice:

  • Makes the body stronger and more flexible

  • Release tension and trauma stored in the body

  • Calms the mind

  • Creates space in body and mind and in that space you find ‘balance’, the opportunity for spiritual growth

Monday - Yoga for backs

About the class:

The approach is to help students become aware of how they hold and move their bodies. Using simple yoga postures and breath awareness you learn how to stretch, strengthen and create flexibility in a safe way to manage your back pain. You will relearn how to move, sit, stand to find a healthy function and alignment of your body, on and off the yoga mat.

This a great class for anyone that is new to yoga with back issue or for anyone that has practiced yoga and has stopped due to back pain and wants to return to yoga classes again.

This class is the stepping stone for YOU to return back to yoga!

Friday - Menopause Yoga

About the class:

A yoga practice with breathing techniques and mindful meditation exercises to help manage the main symptoms such as hot flushes, anxiety, irritability, insomnia, fatigue, lack of focus and low mood. The sequences are tailored to manage menopausal symptoms and make the transition in a healthy, nurturing, positive way.


- A slow flow, mindful grounding practice to manage anxiety, insomnia.

- A cooling, calm practice to manage hot flushes, night sweats, irritability, anger, rage.

- An uplifting and energising practice to manage fatigue, low mood, weight gain.


At the beginning of each class there will be a Women's circle, a safe, nurturing place to share, if you wish too, your menopause symptoms and experience.
